how to naturally remove pimple spots at home

Pimple marks are not a very nice topic and are therefore swept under the carpet far too often. But we can help you! You are punished enough with  pimples, but even after the inflammation, visible red or brown spots can remain. The so-called pimple marks show up as pigment spots or acne scars and are not so easy to put on with make-up. We have six great tips on how to get rid of those unsightly spots.

1. Creams

As regular care, you should use creams and ointments that target pimple marks and discoloration of the skin. This can be a conventional scar ointment (for example from Bepanthen) or a special product. Then it's cream, cream, cream  - best in the morning and in the evening. It can take a few weeks or months for improvement to occur. Our insider tip : zinc ointment! It is available in the pharmacy without a prescription and costs around 5 euros. Apply with a cotton swab in the evening and leave on overnight.

2. Lemon

With lemon juice and the acid it contains, you can lighten accumulations of melanin and thereby make dark-pigmented pimple marks a little lighter. To do this, dab the areas several times a day with the juice of a fresh lemon and rinse off after about ten to 20 minutes. Leave it on for a shorter time if you have sensitive skin. The acid works like a natural bleaching agent , but only brightens the outermost layer of skin, so your spots won't go away completely.

3. Apple cider vinegar for inside and out

Also, apple cider vinegar is effective against pimples times, but you can it both externally and internally apply.

As a facial toner for external use: mix equal parts apple cider vinegar and water and apply the solution to the spots on the spots with a cotton swab. The natural facial toner improves your skin's complexion and helps to stabilize the pH value. The skin becomes clearer and duller, your spots may disappear or at least become less noticeable.

As a drink for internal use : Put two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and, depending on your taste, sweeten with honey. The mixture activates the metabolism and thus also drives - in a very healthy way - the self-healing process of your skin.

4. Scrubs

A scrub is the best way to make it look fresh to your skin. It removes old, dead skin cells and stimulates the skin to regenerate cells. Ideal for removing pimples!

Lemon-salt peeling : Lemon has an anti-inflammatory effect, coarse salt rubs off old flakes of skin and promotes blood circulation. A natural combination to counteract blemished skin and beautify a bad complexion. Simply mix both, spread the crumbly paste on the cleansed skin and press down a little. Wash off after ten minutes. Since the lemon juice dries out: Then apply a moisturizer .

Fruit acid peeling: A chemical peeling promises the most significant reduction in pimple marks. This type of skin peeling uses acids - so gentle is different. The skin is completely renewed, the complexion becomes more even. You can have this treatment done by a beautician or dermatologist.

5. Medically remove pimple marks

If your pimple marks are more reminiscent of real scars and you suffer very badly from them, a surgical procedure can also be the solution. Dermatologists use different methods here. In the case of biopsies or excisions, tissue is surgically removed and sewn again with the finest threads, the result is tiny, barely visible scars. In mechanical dermabrasion, the skin is removed with a grinding instrument under general anesthesia. In microdermabrasion, crystals or a rotating diamond disc are used. But also with a laser have pimple marks or scars treated; the scar tissue is destroyed by a laser, the skin is re-formed and then looks more even. The various methods are offered by dermatologists and clinics. Be sure to get at least two, preferably three, opinions from doctors before the procedure.

6. Avoid the sun

It is always best to take precautions! So that your pimple marks do not get worse, you should avoid direct sun and solarium and protect your skin from solar radiation, because UV radiation makes red, brown or black pigments even more visible as spots. For activities in the fresh air: wear a lot of sun protection and stay in the shade. This also reduces the risk of further pigment spots appearing.

Removing pimple marks takes a long time and requires patience, unfortunately, they don't go away overnight. As a quick help, you can make acne scars disappear at least visually with a concealer or thick camouflage make-up.

7. St. John's wort oil

St. John's wort oil is a natural secret weapon for blemished skin because it has an antibacterial effect. If a pimple is particularly red, it is best to apply a small amount of the oil selectively twice a day. This supports and accelerates wound healing and optimally prevents pimple marks.
